With a selection of the best documentaries and feature films in the spirit of Jules Verne, the Jules Verne Film Festival will delight adventure lovers and movie buffs. The programme will feature premières, themed evenings, guest adventurers, scientists and directors as well as live concerts of adventure film soundtracks! This six-day event takes place both in Paris and in Los Angeles, and aims to familiarise the public, and younger generations in particuliar, with the rich diversity of the planet's natural wonders, as well as encouraging them to protect, conserve and explore the world.Set up in 1991 by Jean-Christophe Jeauffre and Frédéric Dieudonné, the Jules Verne Aventures association is dedicated to the rediscovery of the planet, to raising awareness, and to the conservation of endangered species.Mainly designed to educate the younger generations, in 1992 Jules Verne Aventures held the first ever Jules Verne Aventures Film Festival and set up the Jules Verne Studio in order to produce its own films and adventurous expeditions.Although in the 21st century Jules Verne's dreams have already become reality, scientists, explorers and filmmakers continue to travel the world in search of new challenges.
